Abacus learning programme provides significant benefits to children in enhancing the learning skills, photographic memory, visualisation skills, increasing speed, higher concentration, attaining accuracy and proficiency in all subjects.
Their test scores are likely to be higher, their confidence is greater, and their opportunities in school and life can outweigh their peers.
The brain consists of two hemispheres, the left and the right. The left side of the brain is used for logical processing, mathematical functions, sequencing and linear processes. The left side of the brain is what is trained first when children are taught math traditionally. The right side of the brain is for imagination, visualisation, intuition and rhythm. When children are taught the abacus, it taps the right side of their brain.

An ideal age is 5-12 years to start learning Abacus and homeClass is best amongst the abacus online classes.
Abacus is pure concentration. You should try some other kind of classes first to see if your child can sit through the entire session and then, may be, try enrolling him/her for Abacus.
Depends on each child's learning capacity. There is a crash course for older smart kids too. However, Abacus learning takes time. In regular classes, all the levels can be completed in approximately 2 years.
Each session will be for 60 minutes.
There are 9 levels in total. You can see the chart above which details on the content too.
It is a mathematical process which needs time to be understood, practiced and built in the brain. Like any other course like dancing, music or playing an instrument, Abacus requires time to learn if your child wants to master it.
At the beginner level, our teachers do not recommend fast pace. To grab the basic, you should give more time to your child to practice. Later, if he or she shows higher learning capacity, we will change to twice or thrice a week. The max is three classes per week and that can not be exceeded for a standard learner.
It is not important to know multiplication. The teacher will teach addition, substraction, multiplication etc. in Abacus way in class.
A maximum of 8 students, who all will be in the same level(not necessarily the same age though).
We start new batches in regular interval. If your child misses one, you may have to wait a little for the next batch to start. Else if your and your friends' children are a group of 5-6, we can start any day.
Our teachers do not prefer that. Each teacher teaches in their own method and a new teacher is unsure of the previous learning. To avoid such confusion in the child's mind, it's better to start afresh. However, if your child has really progressed quite a bit, a fee-based assessment can be done by our teachers to see if he or she can be included in a senior group. .... more FAQ below.
Your child needing a break should be analysed by you. May be he does not want to learn anymore. We recommend you find out the reason and if it is an obstruction you can remove, better to complete the course and not take a break.
It can happen. If it is with prior intimation, then our teachers will help the child cope up. But as you can understand, it is a group class and missing too many classes is not a good idea. There will be availability of the session in recording, which your child can watch and learn from.
A 17-rod tool, available in local toy stores or online (priced approximately Rs.160/- in India) is the only tool we require. It is required from the third session.
You can opt out any time, but the fee is not refundable. So, if you have doubt that your child may not enjoy learning abacus, please decide accordingly.
We understand that being a parent with little exposure to this new learning you may be confused and need to see how it works. We have shared a 5 minute video to let you know more about it. You will Get a good idea about how it is taught and what it is.
Each level has 24 sessions to learn from.
After each level, there will be a test conducted. There will be a test fee.
Yes, at completion of each level, there will be a certification upon successful test.
