american mathematics Olympiad (AMO) registration + classes

Some of the key benefits of AMO are the university scholarships, Global Scholars Program, International Junior Honor Society (IJHS) membership, tuition grants and internships.

The test is 90 minutes for all grades. Each level has a differentiated paper and contains 25 questions within 2 sections:

Section A: 15 Multiple Choice Questions (3 points for each correct answer; no penalty for wrong answers)

Section B: 5 Non-routine Questions (5 points for each correct answer; no penalty for wrong answers)

Section C: 5 Non-routine Questions (6 points for each correct answer; no penalty for wrong answer)

Total: 100 points

The foundation of AMC 8 preparation is on the student's own clarity about the basic concepts. Structured content, expert coaching, mock tests and speed training build on that solid foundation takes between 25 to 30 weeks to preparation. Maths is always about understanding the concept and practice.

Students should start learning Olympiad exams writing techniques at a young age, if they want to start competing by Year 2. The basic ground work and clear fundamentals are important for competing in any Olympiads.

There is a 5 step process laid:

1. Set your goal
2. Take the merit test of admission
3. Join Olympiad round-the-year course as soon as you can 
4. Attend all sessions and focus on the learning
5. Practice and conquer the tougher problems.

Grade 2 to 4:

3. Solving word problems with non-algebric methods
4. Non-routine problems like- Number pattern, Divisibility, Spacial visualisation, Logic problems and Simple cryptarithms

Grade 5 and 6:

4. Non-routine problems like- Number pattern, Divisibility, Spacial visualisation, Logic problems and Simple cryptarithms

Grade 7 (Secondary 1):

4. Non-routine problems like- Number pattern, Divisibility, Spacial visualisation, Logic problems and Simple cryptarithms
